Mothership Connection Star Child - Signed Limited Edition Metallic Giclée

from $175.00

Mothership Connection Star Child - Signed Limited Edition Metallic Giclée

Leaning into the turn with arms out and jacket flying, the Star Child glides across the rink like the funk itself just landed. Mothership Connection Star Child takes its name from Parliament’s legendary funk anthem and channels its cosmic, Afrofuturist spirit: freedom, groove, and a soul that came from somewhere beyond the stars.

A carved African mask with glowing red eyes and a full, textured afro crown the figure, with a gold ankh, the ancient symbol of life, hanging at the chest. An open jacket swirling with marbled orange and red billows in the wind, and wide white flared pants tied with an orange sash ripple with every move, down to white quad skates on blazing orange wheels. Behind, a sunburst of red and orange rays radiates from the horizon like a spaceship beaming down. It’s a celebration of funk, roller culture, ancestral heritage, and cosmic cool, and a reminder that the groove is eternal.

Printed on metallic media, this edition brings the funk to life. The luminous surface makes the sunburst blaze, gives the gold ankh and rings a real shimmer, and adds an almost backlit energy that shifts with the light in your space.

Available in two editions:

  • 12" × 24" Metallic Giclée Paper Print, limited to 50. Archival pigment inks on premium metallic photo paper, with fiery color, crisp linework, and a lustrous sheen. Ships unframed and ready for your frame of choice.
